Fat Tui soaps are free from synthetic ingredients or preservatives, so they may soften if left without drainage. We recommend placing your soap on a draining dish to keep it dry between uses. Store it out of direct sunlight for best results.

While lye is a part of the natural soap-making process none remains in the final product. Non-synthetic soap forms through a chemical reaction between lye and oils, called saponification, which creates a completely safe, skin-friendly bar with no traces of lye.

We’re proud to blend sustainability with our commitment to luxury. Our custom-made soap boxes are crafted from single-use coffee cups, while our other packaging is made from recycled FSC-certified cardboard paper or recyclable, compostable materials.

As a New Zealand-based artisan studio, we prioritise sourcing our premium ingredients locally, ensuring our soaps are as close to nature as possible. We also grow and dry our own, and support other small-batch, organic businesses.

All of our soap products are specifically designed to be kind to your skin. However, our Kombucha and Pink Clay soap is our simplest and gentlest formula, ideal for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is unscented and beautiful to use.

Each soap is lovingly crafted with care from beginning to end.
Carefully selected ingredients are weighed and blended, and poured into moulds. The moulds are covered and kept warm overnight to begin the morph into soap. Once the saponification process is complete the soap is gently removed from the mould, hand cut, bevelled and lovingly stamped one by one. The soaps are placed to cure in the dark, for a minimum of 6–8 weeks before they are finally ready to be packaged and sent to your home.
Our mists and accessories are crafted with just as much love and care. Each of our formulations is weighed, blended and poured by hand, and our body stone is hand-drilled and tied with our signature cord knot.
